Recipe Name
Oatmeal Apple Crisp

Posted by Jennifer Hessmer
Occasion: Any
Effort: Easy

Ingredients:
5 c. tart apples, peeled and sliced
1/4 c. sugar (I use agave nectar, buy it at a health food store, it has the
same consistency as honey)
2tsp cinnamon (or enough to sprinkle apples)
1/2 stick butter cut up into small pieces
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. unsifted all purpose flour
1 c. quick uncooked oats (I use old-fashioned Quaker)
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or almonds

How to Prepare:
This recipe can be modified to add more or less of any of the ingredients to
your taste.

Sprinkle sugar (or agave nectar) over apples. Mix remaining ingredients
together for topping. Use hands or pastry blender to make sure butter is
completely mixed in with other ingredients.

Sprinkle topping over apples and bake in 375 degree oven for 45 minutes or
until apples are tender. Serve warm, top with ice cream (Breyer's Natural
Vanilla).
